Chester Senior Colts finally get a Decent Bus (oh yes - and head to South Africa).

Chester Senior Colts are finally on our way to South Africa. We had a few photos taken before we left, and through the power of social media, we are already worrying mums across a couple of continents. The tour organisers imaginatively arranged for a couple of DVDs to be played on the bus. It's got everything this bus!  We've left the Slaters down stairs as a punishment because they were late for the photo session. Unlike other tours, this bus has lots of modern luxuries; windows, toilets and even an engine which can pull us up hills.  Obviously Helen took over travel planning from Royan!

Anyway the video was called The Invincibles. We thought it was about a cartoon family with strange powers, but the old geezers at the front tell us it's about the British Lions tour to South Africa in 1974. We know they're lying because Africa want even discovered until the late 80's.  Anyway, it's interesting to watch. Apparently times were so hard in Wales in the 70's that they couldn't even afford whole names. They could only afford initials; JJ and JPR!!!
This blog will help to keep you informed of our progress and musings on themes rugby and other. There will be some activities we won't be able to share. There is one boy on tour who has not brought a tie with him, but somehow he managed to remember his Elvis wig. ......easy pickings for the tour judge to cut his teeth on!
